| Rapid Intervention Team |
The RTFC operates one of the eight Rapid Intervention Teams that serve Hunterdon County fire departments. Rapid Intervention Teams or RITs, respond on all level 2 and 3 (structural fire) box alarm assignments. The mission of a RIT is to stand by on the fire ground to provide immediate assistance or rescue of a firefighter(s) that may become injured, trapped, disoriented or become involved in a multitude of other emergencies while operating at a fire scene. RITs also carry additional equipment specific to firefighter assistance and rescue. Currently the RTFC has 20 certified RIT members. |
